
Oliver Smith (Chief Executive)
Oliver graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge (BA Hons Law) to join Goldman Sachs, where he worked in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group. He joined Arlington Securities in 1989 and was Funding Director of Arlington's principal development company. He was responsible for Arlington's investment sales, development funding, financing and joint venture negotiations as well as its interests in Europe and the US, leaving in December 1994 to co-form Mansford.
Charles Knight (Director)
Charles is a qualified Chartered Surveyor with 20 years experience in real estate investment and development. He joined GVA Grimley in 1986, where he was involved in leasing, development funding and institutional investment, advising funds including Scottish Widows, Hermes and Foreign & Colonial. He became a founder shareholder in Mansford Wales in 1997, where he created projects including the award winning development Old Brewery Quarter, Cardiff, together with corporate joint ventures with the Welsh Development Agency, Swansea Council, Biotrace International Plc, Brains Brewery and the National Botanic Garden of Wales. During 2007, he served as the High Sheriff of Mid Glamorgan, UK. Charles joined Mansford in 1997 and is currently responsible for its UK & European property investment and development programme.
Michael Birch (Director)
Michael has over 20 years experience within the real estate finance, investment and structuring business. Prior to joining Mansford, he was a main board director and founding shareholder of Rock Capital Group. Previously he ran the Real Estate Advisory business for Citigroup Private Bank, before which he was involved in various capacities within Citigroup leading to direct experience in senior/mezzanine lending, direct equity investment and corporate and asset restructuring. Michael joined Mansford in 2005 and is responsible for all property financing and actively engaged in property investment throughout Europe.
Stephane Adeline (Director, France)
Stephane completed a BA in Real Estate and Finance after which he joined a real estate advisory company as an analyst for a year. In 1998 he to joined Keops (Credit Foncier Group), where he spent seven years responsible for a specialist letting agent team for the Eastern Paris area and developing, together with Keops Investment Department, the investment brokerage branch in France. Stephane moved to Savills Paris in 2005 as investment associate director where he focused mainly on sale and leaseback operations, forward agreements to purchase, and other vanilla transactions in France and border countries. He joined Mansford in September 2007 taking responsibility for acquisitions in France, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg, along with setting up and running the Mansford Paris office.
Thomas Storgaard (Associate)
Thomas worked for European Financial Realty and more recently for Heitman Financial, where he formed part of the London based acquisition team analysing and executing transactions throughout Western and Central Europe. His has experience in analysing numerous asset classes and has specifically been exposed to logistics and office transactions. Thomas has an MBA from the Henley Management College, a graduate degree in Strategic Market Economics from Copenhagen Business School, and experience of management courses at Insead in France. He joined Mansford in August 2007 working as part of the acquisitions team analysing and executing transactions throughout Europe.
Jeremie d’Esparbes (Associate)
Jeremie spent a year within McKinley (Michigan, US), where he was in charge of cash flow projection and portfolio valuation for US based assets ranging from residential condos to shopping centres after which he joined Trimont in 2006 as a member of the asset management team for the Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners funds. He was the analyst for the Polish residential development projects and the French Investment platform. Jeremie has an MSC in Finance from Edhec Business School and joined Mansford as Investment Analyst in April 2007 where he is involved in analysis for European Investments and in portfolio management
Clinton Kramer (Group Financial Controller)
Clinton graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, served his articles at Deloitte & Touché and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001. Post qualification, he spent six years with Pangbourne Properties, a large South African Listed property company. During this time, he gained experience on large acquisition structuring and on property funding mechanisms, as well as developing practical skills in the design and implementation of key financial systems and controls. Clinton is currently responsible for the financial control of Mansford, as well as its European property funds.
Yasmin Jiang (Property Investment Analyst)
Yasmin is a qualified Chartered Surveyor in the faculty of valuation. She first joined Mansford in 2002 as an undergraduate, going on to achieve a First Class Degree in Property Management & Valuation and was awarded the Estates Gazette Prize twice for best overall student. She returned to university in 2004 with a full scholarship to undertake PhD, while working as a research assistant, followed by three year’s full time employment in the research area. Yasmin rejoined Mansford in 2008 in the property investment analysis team.
